Strategic Partnerships
Not wanting to be a stand-alone ministry, we desire to partner
with like minded organizations wherever such partnerships
would prove mutually beneficial. A few of these strategic
partnerships are:
- Great Commission Covenant Schools- colleges, universities
and seminaries with whom OMS International has forged a partnership
with faculty and students.
Partnering with our own OMS-established denominations through
programs such as Men For Missions.
Working with other mission agencies wherever mutually beneficial.
Working with indigenous ministries in countries where we minister.
Cooperating in Theological Education with other organizations.
Men For Missions International -
Short-Term Missions
Men
For Missions International is the laymen’s voice
of OMS International. Men For Missions (or MFMI) consists entirely
of laymen for the purpose of helping more than 400 OMS International
missionaries evangelize, plant churches, develop Christian
leadership, and eventually partner with the national churches
that evolve as a result.
MFMI accomplishes its task through
men and women from every walk of life who are willing to make
this spiritual commitment:
I
will do whatever God asks me to do;
I will go wherever God asks me to go;
I will give whatever God asks me to give.
The commitment between
an MFMer and God is realized through a variety of MFMI opportunities.
Missionaries are served within
the US through MFMI area representatives and MFMI Council programs.
A Council is a local group of MFMers who meet periodically
to pray for missionaries, help support their projects, and
acquire greatly needed items. They also financially assist
their members to join teams heading to foreign mission fields.
Known
as “The Short-term Mission Specialists,” MFMI
has organized and helped over 15,000 men and women serve on
OMS International missionfields during its 50-year history.
A current listing of MFMI trips appears in this website’s
Trips section.
MFMers help missionaries by releasing their personal
skills and abilities in a variety of practical, direct ways.
Included
are work and medical teams, teams which help with local evangelism,
teams that go to pray and distribute tracts, and others who
are prepared to teach. Often, teams may be involved in one
or more of these ministries.
MFMI has no dues nor formal trappings.
We exist to serve Christ by assisting OMS International “reach the nations for
Christ.” Our mandate is compassion, pure and simple.
Our priority is establishing the Lordship of Jesus Christ in
each person’s life, and our goal is to provide opportunities
for personal obedience to the Great Commission. For more information, visit
