Haiti has once again been rocked by a devastating earthquake.
On Saturday August 14, the southwest part of Haiti was hit by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake, roughly centred around the town of Les Cayes.
Then on August 16, Tropical Storm Grace went through the same area resulting in landslides and flooding.
People have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods.
The OMS affiliated radio station, 4VEH, had opened a new station in Les Cayes and the staff there are uniquely situated to provide news and relief to victims.
Their programming will reach people with life-saving information, comfort, and encouragement rooted in Gospel hope.
They will also be giving out food and medical aid.
Please consider giving generously to this appeal for funds.
Spending of funds raised by One Mission Society is confined to programs approved by the organization. Each restricted contribution designated toward such an approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by One Mission Society, the remaining contributions will be used by One Mission Society where the need is greatest.
Mother-of-six, Madame Joseph, doesn’t go anywhere without her 4VEH radio, that speaks to her and her family of God’s love and grace every day. She is faithfully serving God in her local church, in an area that has been completely transformed as the hope of the Gospel is shared across the airwaves, and has taken root in people’s hearts and lives.
