Development Farm and Discipleship - Thailand
The Asia Pacific region has a vision to transform lives in dynamic communities. As an Embarker, you'll serve in your area of focus while being part of localized summer ministry experiences. You'll also be poured into by a team of missionaries as you learn more about your gifts and passions. Our hope for this experience is that you will grow in your relationship with God, expand your skill set, be more prepared to disciple people from other cultures, and perhaps discern a long-term call to missions and ministry.
You will serve on a development farm in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand that provides a place for people to learn new skills and hear about Jesus. You will be involved in discipleship groups one to two times a week, leading Bible studies and praying with participants. You may also spend a week helping with an English camp for a children's home.

Responsibilities:
- Spend 4-6 weeks working on a mixed farm that grows fruit trees, vegetables, pigs, chicken, and fish, and also does bee-keeping
- The farm is a community outreach farm that also serves as a place for people to learn new skills and hear about Jesus
- Be involved in discipleship groups 1-2 times a week, leading bible studies, and praying with participants
Skills:
- High School diploma required
- Some college preferred
- Good relational skills
- Desire to see Gospel transformation
- Teachability as you learn various farming techniques
- Willingness and ability to do manual labor such as heavy lifting and digging
- Adaptability and a willingness to problem-solve
During your time with Embark you will serve with One Mission Society, receive mentorship from experienced missionaries, work alongside a team of other like-minded OMS interns, expand and hone your skill set, and grow in your ministry approach to evangelism, discipleship and communicating your testimony.
- You will be interning from May to early-June.
- Cost will be approx $3,400 USD plus travel expenses.
- This is a volunteer internship that requires raising financial support through ministry partners.
