Field Leader
The field leader is the leader of One Mission Society ministries in their assigned country and is responsible for the ministry activities, OMS missionaries, national workers, legal, and public relations matters related to that country. The field leader is tasked with building and leading a healthy team that carries out OMS mission ministries in alignment with the OMS ministry framework and the field's action plan. The field director ensures that their team receives pastoral care and member care, that they have a personal development plan and are growing professionally and spiritually. Field Directors are needed in Brazil, Colombia and Hungary.
Responsibilities:
- Lead missionary team and collaborate with mission partners to accomplish OMS purposes in the assigned country.
- Represent the mission in all official and legal matters pertaining to the field.
- Promote, develop, and strengthen relationship between mission and church/partners.
- Vision cast to ministry partners, field missionaries, potential donors and missionary candidates.
- Direct communications, promotions, and other publicity efforts of the field.
- Ensure financial operations are executing in accordance with OMS Global policies.
- Chairs field committee.
- Represents the field to OMS Global leadership and in Missionary Council when called upon.
- Oversees the production and execution of annual field action plan.
- Develops and executes budgets.
- Ensures each missionary is reviewed annually and develops personal development plans for all direct reports.
- Writes minutes for all applicable mission business in a timely manner.
- Authorizes all travel to and from the field of OMS personnel and informs global ministries department of all travel via field minutes.

- Ability to build and care for multi-ethnic, background diverse, missionary team.
- Ability to develop and steward a team culture that exhibits care, love, excellence, holiness/ethics, spiritual and personal growth for the glory of Christ our Lord.
- Ability to lead people and processes toward the attainment of a desired goal.
- Effective communication using verbal and written formats with all audiences (i.e., missionaries, nationals, partners, donors, OMS leaders, potential candidates).
- Ability to guide conflict resolution in various settings and contexts.
- Ability to promote, develop and strengthen a harmonious working relationship between the mission and the church/partners.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft 365 / Office suite, Zoom, and other OMS software relating to expense reports, HR, and finance
- Ability to develop and execute budgets and strategic plans.
- Ability to learn language to fluency of the target ministry population.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience required.
- Pastoral or professional experience in leadership highly preferred.
- Ordination beneficial.
- 2 years cross-cultural ministry experience highly preferred.
