Xplore Bible Study

Help Christians who already know and love Jesus embrace their God-given role to make His name famous throughout all the earth. Xplore   is a 7-lesson small group study designed to help believers discover God’s overarching purpose throughout history. It helps them understand His heart for all peoples by studying the biblical basis of missions. It exposes the current state of world evangelization by looking at the major world religions and unreached people groups. The study also gets practical by examining five habits that all believers can adopt to grow into a World Christian lifestyle.

Throughout the Old and New Testaments, God reveals Himself as a missionary God. There has never been a time in history when God did not have the whole world in His heart. This is true of the story of God's chosen people, Israel, and it is true of the story of Christ and His church.
 
The Bible is the story of God at work in missions. This exploration of scripture will reveal the centrality of missions in the life of God's people.

Missions Assessment Profile

Perhaps the best place to start is to determine where you and your church are really at with regards to missions commitment and involvement. In my own experience, I really do tend to  estimate my own position considerably higher than it actually is. Working through a formal process of evaluation tends to give a more realistic picture of the current situation. 

This MAP is now the third generation of a tool first developed in 1980 to help church leaders assess their progress in mobilizing their church for missions involvement. It has served to help many churches reflect on where they are in comparison to what a truly missions-mobilized church could look like. No church scores perfectly in all areas. Ideally all churches are in a growth process. This tool will help you assess where you are strong and where you are weak so you can strengthen your missions effectiveness and commitment
